You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.

🥸 We’re All Impo(d)stors

I’ve found the creative podcasting experience is divided into three feelings:

A third of the time, you feel like you’re at the top of your game.

A third of the time, you feel... fine.

And a third of the time, you question every choice that’s ever led you to a microphone.

That last third? That’s when the impostor shows up. Loud. Smug. Armed with a clipboard full of reasons why you shouldn’t be here.

It’s tempting to armor up. To sound like someone else, play it safe, keep it shallow. But that’s the real danger: not that the imposter makes noise, but that it silences you.

Here’s the truth: Imposter syndrome is proof you care. That you’re pushing. That you’re reaching for something real. The cure? Not confidence. Not compliments. Just doing the work.

The next time your imposter shows up, hand it a mic and say, “Cool. You’re part of the show now. Let’s get to work.”

🎙️ Signal Flow: Jason Moore and Mike Wright

Industry game changers and valiant minds share their wisdom, adversities, and paths to innovation.

The Fantasy Footballers have become the gold standard for everything fantasy football. Hosts Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright have been helping fantasy football players for over a decade with proven industry-leading advice in the entertaining fashion that only The Footballers can do. The podcast is one of the most decorated shows in history and routinely ranks as the No. 1 sports show on all podcast charts. The Fantasy Footballers network also includes the popular The Fantasy Footballers Dynasty Show, The Fantasy Footballers DFS & Betting Podcast, the comedy podcast The Spitballers, and the industry-leading Ultimate Draft Kit.

Jason
We’re not putting on a show—we’re just being ourselves. When people meet us, they realize, yep, this is exactly who you hear on the mic. That authenticity is what’s built our audience, and once they find us, they tend to stick around.

Mike
We started out tracking every single download. Like, “Guys, at noon we had 10 downloads! That’s two more than last Monday!” It was wild. I still have the old spreadsheets.

Jason
At one point, I worked at a T-Mobile store and literally downloaded our show on every phone in the place. Just trying to get those numbers up any way we could.

Mike
One of the best compliments we get is from people who say, “You’re the only fantasy football podcast my wife will let me play in the car.” We’re football, sure—but entertainment is front and center.

Jason
We’re all family guys. Each of us has three kids. It’s not like we made a conscious decision to be family-friendly. It’s just who we are. We wouldn’t do a show we wouldn’t let our kids hear.

Mike
We didn’t need a disclaimer that says, “Don’t worry, this is safe for families.” We just made a podcast the way we live our lives.

Jason
We were in real estate school when we realized this show was taking off. I remember telling Mike and Andy, “This is crazy. Look at these numbers.” We let our real estate licenses expire pretty quickly after that.

Mike
When we started, nobody else was talking about football after the Super Bowl. They’d all switch to baseball. But we’re degenerates, we wanted to keep talking football. So we did.

Jason
From day one, people who found us didn’t leave. Our churn was practically zero. It was like they found their fantasy football buddies and they stayed.

Mike
The three of us have worked together for years. The podcast wasn’t manufactured. Nobody paired us up. We already had this chemistry from lunch conversations. The show is just those lunch convos…with microphones.

Jason
Every now and then we’ll be talking in the studio and someone’s like, “Save it for the show!” because that’s how natural it is.

Mike
We make sure new listeners can jump in and enjoy it, even if they don’t know all the lingo yet. We’ve got stuff for beginners and veterans alike.

Sleep isn’t just a bedtime goal—it’s foundational to a child’s wellbeing. Research shows that quality sleep supports stronger memory, better emotional regulation, improved learning, and overall physical health. Cozy Critters is proud to help kids get the rest they need, especially those managing pain, neurodivergence, or nighttime anxiety.

Jason
Our wives don’t care about football. We’ve tried to get them into it, but it’s not happening. The trick to watching all the games is simple: make football your business. Then it’s just work.

Mike
In-season is intense. Sunday mornings in the studio, watching all day, recording Monday, watching again Monday night. We carve out space to be human, though. Our company motto is basically: be a human.

Jason
If your kid has a recital—go. If there’s a family moment—be there. We take being a responsible employer seriously. These people are trusting us with their livelihoods. That means something.

Mike
We’ve got a dinner tonight with a shuffleboard tournament. We’ve never played, but we already told them: there better be brackets. And a trophy. And we’re going to win.

Jason
We are absurdly competitive. Doesn’t matter what the game is, we’re playing to win. And that energy is baked into everything we do.

Mike
Andy and I have the most titles in our League of Record. Just want to make sure that’s clear for the record.

Jason
I won more recently. That matters. And the first time I had time to focus on fantasy full-time, I won immediately. I rest my case.

Jason
When it comes to sponsored content, the show always comes first. Always. We’ve said no to plenty of brands that didn’t fit. But when it works—like with Head & Shoulders—it really works. Fans were bummed when that segment ended.

Mike
We don’t just jam a brand into a segment. We build content that’s genuinely helpful, then align it with a sponsor. It has to feel like a win for the listener.

Jason
Fantasy football is mainstream now. Our partnership with SiriusXM lets us scale and work with NFL-level brands. That’s a huge leap. Along with our usual podcast feeds and YouTube, every episode of our show will also air on SiriusXM’s Fantasy Sports Radio channel. It’s another awesome way to get our content out there and reach even more fantasy football fans.

But that’s not all. SiriusXM also gives us the chance to offer something a little extra to our subscribers. Each week, we’ll be creating exclusive, standalone content that can only be found on the SiriusXM app and Fantasy Sports Radio. It’s insider-level info to help give fans that extra edge in their fantasy league.

At the end of the day, it’s an all-around win for us, for our fans, and of course, for the brands we work with. It proves fantasy isn’t some guy-in-a-basement hobby anymore. It’s a multibillion-dollar industry.

Mike
You walk into any business in America, you’ll find someone in a fantasy league. Doesn’t matter if they’re a lawyer or a plumber. It’s everywhere. It builds community. You can’t play fantasy by yourself.

Jason
Video is the next big shift. Audio was the beginning. But video connects differently—it’s more personal, more shareable. We’ve seen the growth. And that’s where we’re investing next with SiriusXM. Podcasts are moving beyond just audio into video, live events, and social. We want to meet fans on those platforms.

Mike
Getting to 100K YouTube subs took years. We clawed our way there. But once the snowball started rolling, it didn’t stop. We have over 380K now, and we’re still growing.

Jason
Our goal has always been to be wherever the audience is. If they’re on YouTube, we’re there. If they’re on SiriusXM, we’re there. Just meet people where they are—and give them a reason to stay.

🎙️ Podcast of the Week: Normal Gossip

If you love drama but hate consequences, Normal Gossip is your new obsession. Host Rachelle Hampton serves up deliciously bizarre listener-submitted tales about complete strangers. Think petty coworkers, chaotic roommates, and suspiciously competitive PTA parents. It’s juicy, ridiculous, and wildly addictive. Gossip you can enjoy guilt-free? Yes, please.

🥾 Further Exploration

What happens when you push your ears (and your brain) to the limit? In this cheeky yet surprisingly thoughtful essay, Galen Beebe experiments with listening to podcasts at .8x speed. It’s a funny, frantic look at our relationship with productivity, attention, and why slowing down might be the real power move.

Enjoying The Noise Gate? Why not share it with a fellow podcaster?

Until next time, have a bold week.
